"Go on till you come to the end: then stop."

Finally it is done! My Government project is done and I can now show you all the outcome. It was quite interesting and I learned a lot doing it. Its funny though because I didn't learn anything about the topic that I didn't already know. But it was other things like comfort zones that I learned from the project. I also learned that being in front of the camera instead of behind it leads to so many more complications. Thing like cut off heads in the video to name a few. Also... trying to get people to stop interrupting someone filming is a nightmare.
Anyways please watch the video. It's not perfect, (I chose the windiest day to record AND I couldn't find my mic's wind screen plus not being able to see framing and so on...) but in the end I thought it came out half way decent. If nothing else, it was a lot of fun...sometimes.

  1. I'm a little shocked that some college students aren't aware of such a big entity. Everyone's opinions are totally valid though. I have previously heard the story of the Target advertisement. What surprised me is that the young lady got something other than the run-of-the-mill generic ads everyone else receives. I'm totally cynical about some of these things though. A different story I read later implies that the only reason the young lady was receiving the ads in the first place is because she had a baby registry with Target. makes sense if her due date wasn't too far off in the future.

Anyway this was definitely worth the wait. And almost 20 minute video. My favorite part was the bloopers c:

    1. Awesome glad you liked it. Yeah I have heard the opposition to the Target story. This was from an ex-marketing managers' (I think that was his title?) mouth about why they recruited him. He said he was a programmer working on an algorithm to index human behavior I think. He later got fired or layed off. Is it all a bunch of hype? Maybe, but it's not so farfetched if you think about it.

  2. Alex, much more interesting and creative versus a random power point or verbally submitting a report. I am proud of those who were willing to answer the questions. It is an important topic and even makes the viewer consider the questions. I agree it took alot of courage for those you interviewed to comment on camera. Job well done ( you made a great reporter) & I hope your professor agrees. Great Bloopers :)

    1. Thanks a lot I had a lot of fun with it and a lot of frustration too. It all worked out well though.
